Business Unstuck
with Craig Garber
I help business owners figure out what’s going on when they feel stuck or business isn’t working the way it should.
The goal isn’t just to solve today’s problems. It’s to help you make better business decisions, reduce friction, and ultimately have a business that's easier to run.
Because let's face it, at a certain point, a business should become easier to run, not harder. However, for many business owners... it's not. And often, you’re just not sure why.
See, for most owners… recognizing there’s a problem isn’t difficult. But identifying what's actually causing it can be a challenge.
Because most businesses aren't really “stuck." More often, feelings of frustration or of being stuck are signals that something underneath isn’t working the way it should.
Based on my experience, that “something” is usually friction.
I identify processes, relationships and communication that are creating unnecessary drag or complexity… or are quietly working against your end goals. These issues aren’t always obvious from inside the business, which makes them difficult to pinpoint.
Somewhere… people, systems, or decision-making have drifted out of alignment. My job is to figure out where that’s happening, and why.
And yes, if you’re thinking… "Oh, so you're a consultant?"
Yes, consultant is probably the closest label. But most consultants start with a framework, process, or area of expertise they’re known for recommending. I start without any assumptions... and I’m not coming into our conversation hoping your problem fits my favorite solution.
Instead, my approach is this:
First, let's figure out what’s actually creating the friction. Once we understand this, we can decide what needs to change.
Not by implementing a program or a philosophy, but by taking practical steps that get everything working together again. Then, we change the process so it better supports the outcome you’re looking for. The one that’s being denied in your present situation.
It's kind of like when you go to the doctor. You might think you have "Ailment A." But after the doctor carefully listens to what’s been going on, asks good questions, and maybe runs a few tests... they often discover what's really causing you problems is something totally different.
My work is similar:
I'd rather identify what's actually getting in the way, before we waste time solving the wrong problem.
By asking the right questions... chasing down follow-up questions... and listening very carefully... I’ve seen and experienced enough patterns to help us figure out what’s actually going on.
I've spent decades running and consulting with businesses in over 120 different industries. And I've learned to recognize patterns by questioning, listening, paying close attention to how information flows… and noticing what’s connecting (or not connecting) the dots throughout the problem areas we’re looking at.
This helps me identify where things have quietly drifted off course. And by working together to understand what's important to you... we can remove the resistance that’s in your way, and business becomes easier to operate.
The problem stops costing you cash-flow. And most important, it stops following you home every night in the form of stress, playing telephone triage with your staff and customers… and sleepless nights.
I've been in your exact same shoes, and for me… it's this ongoing emotional stress and sort of "constant low-level radiation" you have to deal with, that drains all your energy and deprives you of any joy you might otherwise get to experience.
After all, a business should support your life - not consume it.
I genuinely enjoy doing this work for a number of reasons - primarily because I know the relief it provides. And also, I'm a naturally curious person. Whether it's business, relationships, or people, I've always marveled at how various steps wind up coming together, to make good decisions and accomplish cool things.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out using the contact form at the bottom of this page. Or if you'd like to work together, complete the "Need help?" form.
And just so you know what to expect - and not expect - if we wind up speaking, you’ll never have to deal with any kind of pressure or sales junk. I have very low tolerance for aggressive or even remotely pushy people. So you'll always be met with respect, kindness, a good sense of humor... and no agenda.
And for the record, that's how I deal with everyone - in business, and in my personal life as well.
All the best, Craig
